Why is steelseries still making headsets with in-line volume controls?

| A "mechanical keyboard" is one with buttons, right? Innovation. Plus "gold plated USB connectors". No-one fell for that s**t in the '90s. l2digital.

No, a mechanical keyboard is one with proper clicky button, like the old IBM keyboards etc.
I've got the steelseries 7g, but I only paid £40 for it, which is about what it's worth imo. No way would i pay the RRP which is like £100. The 6gv2 looks pretty muc hte same though without the wrist rest (which i dont use as its way too big)

Go and read about why they're legendary. They're pretty expensive too

What? Wikipedia is a perfectly valid source of opinionated "fact", which is what starts the love for these keyboards. I could link you to blog posts, but they're just as opinionated.
Also, at least find a new image if you're going to counter-facepalm

I really like the look of the 6G. Fully individually wired keys == pro++. Also, just because mechanical keyboards are no innovation, it does hold a certain quality during use that most modern keyboards cannot contend with. I also suspect it will like the dishwasher more than my logitech one did for the same reason.
Also, when was the last time anyone brought out a keyboard which looks understated? I can't stand this whole glowing/LCD screen business. The price tag is the only thing that might put me off a little -- will have to wait and see what I can get it for in this country.
