15 vs 15 TDM in COD4 is what I would call a 'doss'. It's fun for a short period, but that's it. Then again, I think the same of most TF2 games.
Strategic COD4 matches though, The|Shaft's trolling aside though, I miss. Though it should certainly be casual, I want to see COD4 back at Fragsoc in some form. I also seem to be the only person that liked Quake 4 multiplayer |

The way to appreciate COD4 is to play COD5.
But we all know that MOHAA > COD anyway  _________________ Q9450 || Asus Rampage X48 || 8 Gig PC2-8500

So, back on topic, I was thinking what kind of thing we would want to call this event? Afterall, we are marketing it to other Universities and saying 'FragSoc LAN party' whilst great for us, isn't really informative or memorable to non Yorkers. I had a few crappy ideas:
uLAN
YorkLAN
uYLAN
UYG (University York Gaming?)
Trying to think of something short and snappy. If you imagine people get emails, they want to read something snappy like "i37" rather than "The University of York is running a big LAN party...". Then we can say it's organised by FragSoc in collaboration with the University of York, but run it almost as a seperate entity. Maybe I'm overthinking it :p _________________ Dreaming

| Seems like a relatively sound idea, I think of the ideas offered, I like YorkLAN the best. |

So requirements are:
1) Is short and will be remembered easily
2) Describes what it is
3) Describes who we are
At the end of the day people will say 'Which Uni runs the best LAN tournies? Oh, York's [insert name here] is sick/sweet/awsome'.
Doesn't have to be weighted in chic-geek like i36 or uLAN, like it isn't cliched enough already. YorkLAN sounds great enough as it is. _________________

How many times have we had people ask us "So at your events of 50 people, do you provide the computers?" _________________
