| Leeds has a Game Development Soc, they were meant to run LANs but never did. They may be interested. |

So are you gonna invite a couple of people from other unis to the LN028 event? And show them how we plan to run the event, then let them act as advertisers for the other unis?? _________________ Gaming Rig - Phenom II X2 555 C3 stepping @ 4 Cores @ 4.0GHz, Titan Fenrir Xmas Edition, 2GB 1333MHz DDR3, MSI 770-C45, Powercolor HD4870+Vortexx Neo, Antec 300, Seagate 7200.11 750GB, Corsair CX400W, 7 Enterprise x64

Not as such, we are encouraging wider participation in the L/N/028 event so trying to get people who have visited from Leeds before like Shem and all that to come (we have space for about 80 people I think, it would be great to fill it up!) - then we can look at any problems we encountered, and move forward. We will have a better case to the university people that we can manage things like risk, logistics, and so on and so forth. Of course, if people from other universities want to attend for the week 8 then the more the merrier, but officially we won't be 'pushing' this to other universities until the 'big' event (which, the date is still yet to be decided... if we push hard we may get one in next term or otherwise it will be next year. Decisions, decisions...) _________________ Dreaming

Prefer CoD4 tbh, even its dubious nade infested deathmatch. A lot more insanity and a lot less leeway for sniper whores, except S4fe obviously. _________________

The original COD and maybe United Offensive beat all that have succeeded them.
As much as I like the idea of all of us in one room I think we need some office cubicle type seperator things to fence off the DoTA types. |

We could just put them outside in the corridor with just a network cable and the 8-port switch _________________

Would like advertising on local radio like radio aire or something be a good idea? _________________ I am M@ - Committee Treasurer

I'm not sure of how much bigger the turnout's going to be yet, but the fragsoc main page needs updating with info ASAP.
Something I think would work well would be a browser-integrated IRC box on the //fragsoc page, so everyone there can chat to coordinate games easily. |

So...what?!
Clicking "chat" is a step or 2 more than embedding a widget into the main page. Or...you know, learn to use a real IRC client. _________________
